CHAPTER 12

AND I THOUGHT I AM THE STALKER HERE.

“What is it with you and food and me always helping you up?”, asked the crush of my life shaking his head, smirking at me. Oh I would like to wipe that smirk off his face! But its not the time. With a little bit of help from him I managed to pick myself up and ran to the nearest restroom as fast as possible. Without falling down. Again.

After changing into new clothes I read the text message from Jhansi asking me to meet up with the others at the entrance of the mall. Picking up my pace now that nobody is watching unlike my little trip to the restroom before, I reached my destination a little sooner.

And the sight that awaited me…nearly had my eyes bulge out of my sockets. Is this some miracle coming true or my eyes playing tricks on me, I don’t know.

Rubbing my eyes, I walked slowly to realize that my eyesight is  absolutely perfect and whatever I was seeing was indeed real.

The ‘I don’t like boys and I’ll torch any boy who tries to flirt with me’ Jhansi was chatting animatedly with Anand Gupta, a friend of Jason in case you forgot and Anand in turn was laughing as that was the funniest thing he had ever heard in this world. On the other side of them were, Noah and Jessica, standing a little too close, might I add, were taking selfies on Jess’s phone.

The whole time I could feel a pair of eyes on me ,watching my every movement, every reaction and as I traced the glance to its owner stood the ever breathtakingly looking Jason Samuel.

Since my friends were too busy with their new friends to notice me, I made my way to him with this eyes on me all the time.

“Where is Resh?”, I asked him oh-so-casually.

“She and Seb went to get the car from the parking.”

“Right, someone has got to do that.” Still feeling he is staring at me, I asked, “And I thought I am the stalker here. Alright what do you want? You have been staring at me the whole time”.

That’s when two cars stopped beside us one behind another. He looked at Seb then turned to leave but not before whispering in my ear, “I can’t get what I want neither can you give.”

I don’t know what he meant but sure gave me goose-bumps.

In the car I sat at the backseat as my thoughts of what Jason said sat at the backseat of my mind and slept like a baby through my thoughts.

It was noon and rays of sunlight peeked through the windows in my room when I woke. After having lunch I decided to do something productive and prepare myself for the next day.

Right. Me and my friends start college tomorrow. Even though a part of me is afraid, I guess a part of me is excited too. And with that spirit I packed whatever I may need and moped around for a bit.

Long before the day became night, and we four gathered at the hall.

“So tomorrow we begin our college life and I hope we enjoy every bit of it as we did in school.”, said Jhansi.

“Yeah, and lets hope that Jhansi finds a boyfriend for herself”, said Jessica to which Jhansi ACTUALLY BLUSHED.

            “You are blushing!”

“You are already seeing someone aren’t ya?”

            “Who is the guy?!”

“Is he good looking? Of course he must be good-looking to have gained your attention!”

And with that the night ended with four young hearts beating full of excitement, joy, thrilled with what tomorrow might have in the store for them.
